TUG OF WAR

People think that this game is easy to play but I think this game is most difficult to play. This game requires hard work and patience. Whole team have to follow proper diet. It also requires strength. If we are over weight then we have to loose weight. It requires lot of practice.

Two years we won the match when we were in school. And in higher secondary also we won. Sir used to tell us to run 10 round of ground so that to increase our stamina. In one month we used to loose 5 kg.
While playing we enjoyed a lot. We used to fall down, we used to release the rope like this we enjoyed a lot.

Our hands, legs, whole body used to pain. In those days we have stopped everything like to eat fast food, cold drinks, chips etc. I was eating only fruits, rice and dal, vegetables, dry fruits etc.
Our whole team was practicing too much so we used to get tired and after going home we were sleeping.

BASEBALL

I started to play baseball when I was in seventh standard. I never heard this game before. In seventh standard my teacher asked me to join so as I am interested in sports I joined baseball. I started practicing and slowly slowly I learnt the game.
Every year we played for taluka and district level. We used to win. But for the state level we stood runners up. This time in college we stood third. Always we lost the game by the difference of one.

My parents never supported me to play this game. They were thinking that because of my sports I was getting less marks. Then too I used to play. I was going without telling them. And after coming home I used to had a big fight with them.

If I miss the catch sir used to shout at me. And then in my anger I used to away that player. I enjoyed this game while playing. Sometimes we used to get injured then also we used to play. Even though we used to loose game at finals we were becoming strong and tough.

ROPE SKIPPING

Goan people know about skipping but very few people are engaged in this game. Some people not even know that there are skipping nationals and internationals take place in different countries.

My journey of skipping started when I was in fourth standard in 2007. I done my first skipping national in 2007 in Goa. I always used to practice and so it was pleasure for me to be the part of Goa team and even Goa team was also glad to have me with them. I have done national every year and now as a senior player I am coaching the new players of Goa and going as a coach and a judge for national rope skipping tournament. We promote this game in different schools in Goa.

When I go for national we people get a chance to communicate with skippers from other state. We as a skipping team go in different states for national, compete with other state players. Sometimes we loose, sometimes we win, but the love for this game always used to increase. At every national we get something new to learn.
I never thought that skipping will took me on that level where all sports player want to reach. I got selected for international. I got a chance to see the world outside. My international was at Hong Kong. There level of skipping were very high, and we were on the first step. They are masters in that so looking at them we decided to practice more to become a master of skipping.

This is the game which gave the meaning to my life. Skipping completes me. This game also keep our health good. It is a best exercise and it builds stamina. It does not require big space. If one shows the little interest in this game just for fitness or just as a game then you will never disappoint.
